Nanaimo shore fishing

Hi there folks, Spending a few weeks with my folks near lagoon park and was wondering if anyone had any locations around Nanaimo (not the fishing pier DT) that’s decent ? Not picky about what I catch/release just want some consistent action! Thanks!

Great! Was looking at google maps and figured neck point would be a good start... didn’t know about rocky point!

outside of the pier DT are there any other docks/piers that are open to the public in the area? There’s a wharf/ dock at the Pacific biological station off rickers curve that looks promising but not sure if fishing’s allowed there.

didn’t know about rocky point!

My Buddy caught a little 4lb Chinook there on the 5th. Was pretty cool as I have only fished there 4 times and I have never seen anyone catch a salmon. Rockfish are quite a regular occurrence.
