My new boat!

Since global warming seems to have taken a detour around home, may not have any choice. 25 cm of snow forecast over Monday and Tuesday. At this rate, ice won’t be off the lakes until June

Its killing me!! I am waiting until the weather changes to spring before I pick up my boat... I have decided im going the last weekend of April regardless of spring arriving or not. This is the worst winter I can remember. Its like I remember it being when I was a kid.

You still are a kid. Oh to be 35 again! (I’m 36)

There’s just something wrong with drilling a 4 1/8” hole through the bottom of your new boat. I lost sleep over this. I am however looking forward to getting on the water to test my new transducer. Airmar SS-TM175HW. The thing is huge...

Hey guys,

I wanted to thank those that have assisted me with all of my questions through the decision making process. I got word today that my new boat is going in for paint today! 3 weeks to paint and 1 week to do the pre-rig and I’ll get to bring her home to finish the rigging! I probably changed my mind a hundred times before settling on a 26’ RH Sea Hawk Pro Walkthrough (28’ overall). I’m going with twin 225 HO Evinrude G2’s for the power. The fuel economy, power/torque and 10 year warranty were a no brainer to me.

My life has been consumed with how and what to rig in it for electronics etc. I went with 2 x 12 Simrad EVO 3’s with an Airmar SS175HW through hull transducer, Simrad 4G radar, Simrad RS35 VHF, Shakespeare Phase III 8’ antenna, Furuno 711C Autopilot (specifically for its Sabiki Mode), Scotty 2116 downriggers, 12x12 trim tabs and a Fusion stereo system.

It’s gonna be a tough month waiting!

Cheers,

Curtis

Very sweet rig! Congrats.

Im working with a company on a build. 24' plus pod, so 26.5'. I'm going with twin evinrude g2 150 HO's for the same reasons as you. I'm very curious on the performance you will get with those engines on that boat. Please share once you are done rigging. Keep the pictures coming!

Very well done sir. Looks perfect

Things are coming along! The white panels are going to be wrapped with a custom wrap. There was barely enough room on the dash for the electronics. The Furuno autopilot is going in today and then it’s pretty much just tidying up wiring! Just in time for out May 10th Esperanza Extravaganza!!!

similar layout to my king fisher. One thing that I would change if i could is I would have done a closed bow with a walkthough or opening window. the bow area just doesn't get used.

That boat looks great. What colour did you go with?
Saw your boat at French Creek a while back. Looks awesome. I have a Hewescraft Ocean Pro 220 w/ the open bow, and I use it a lot for prawn traps, rope, hali float, etc.
