Looking for lower unit for 1999 9.9 Yamaha kicker 25” leg

The lower section of my kicker leg has corroded through. Anyone have a spare that I could purchase.

I was also thinking JB Weld. Do you think either would stay on. It is the exhaust passage that has eaten through.

I would certainly give it a try but I'm pretty cheap. I have repaired two truck transfer case oil pump wear through holes with JB weld and fiberglass cloth, I had 200000 km on the one repair when I sold the truck (more km than at failure) and 150000 km on the one I am still driving. Clean up good to bare aluminum and use brake clean to ensure a clean surface and empregnate the cloth with Jb weld and apply. Let dry, clean up the bumps and build up a few layers. Good luck!

The hole doesn't seem to be affecting anything other than perhaps it will be getting bigger over time.

Hi FB, what year is 8hp. I’d have to assume the 8hp has the same leg as the 9.9 but I'm not sure.
