Contamination of some type has effected salmon streams here in B.C. in a similar way but nobody cares. Let’s just blame it all on poor ocean survival.

Agreed, there is never one single smoking gun. We humans always want to simplify problems, but in nature problems are inherently complex and so too are the solutions.
