well , been a bad year for losin balls ,
have enough to finish up the season ,
need about a 100 lbs to make myself a few 15's this fall
anyone have a hook up on clean lead to melt down ,
can make ya few balls as part trade ??

They don’t use lead for tire weights anymore. Useless for us unless you can find a stash of old tire weights somewhere.

Curious. Is it because the newer lead tire weights have too much impurity as compared to the old?

Most of them are made out of steel or zinc. Not many lead weights being produced anymore.

Thanks, did not know / nor notice as I have not had to buy tires and get them balanced for 10 years or so.

i actually had about a 100 lbs in my shed , made a few up ,
Blair , i do them at home , your welcome as well as any other members to drop by
your lead , i can make em up free of charge , to an extent lol ,
dont want to make a career outta this nasty chit , few at a time is all
later
thx for the pm's , if anyone ever has a little extra lead , i always buy a little every year
im located in Coquitlam , but through Nanaimo/Port often.....
