Lake Cowichan-Renfrew Road?

Just wondering if anybody has been using this road lately to get out to Port Renfrew, and if so, what is the condition of the road surface?
Suitable for a trailer boat on rollers?
It was pretty bad last year.

They've really got their act together this year. The road is maintained weekly and is in good gravel mainline shape. A little rougher on the renfrew end and the pavement on that end is still the worst section with some suprising dips and holes. Loose gravel is probably the biggest scare so keep the speed appropriate. Its about 1 hour from end to end with a boat in tow.

That road is a super highway compared to the Bamfield run , if you want to travel a sensible speed you will have no problems.
