Lake boat project

My kids were saying that my boat isn't a lake boat and they wanted a boat for tubeing, skiing etc. I picked up a 16' glasstron that needs a new stringer, floor, motor and leg. If anyone is doing a pod conversion or re power I'm going to be looking for a small block ford and a volvo leg.

That is one sweet old ride! I had a boat like that back in the day. It had the tower of power 115 hp merc on it. Went like stink. Great fun to bomb around in. Had these cool wrap around bucket seats with the shifter/throttle on the floor next to the drivers seat.

Might be too big for this project but I got a bb ford 460 with a hamilton 212 jet

That is a super cool looking vintage boat. Good luck on the restoration. I'm sure it will be real sweet ride when you're done, and I'm sure the kids will love it. What a great dad. Lucky kids.
