Jig head replacement

Davey Jones has claimed a few of my 14oz swimbaits while jigging for lings, and I find myself with many headless bodies in my tacklebox. What are folks doing to load up on replacement weighted heads? I’ve been to a few places but they either don’t carry anything that will work, or they are sold out.

I think that PNT in Parksville has just the lead heads, not sure of brand, make or model and they are pricey. That's the exact reason I only use home made top rigged hoochie lead filled pipe jigs at $3 ea. Those $20+ swimbaits look great but gets costly when you loose 6+ a day.

Get a Do-It Bullet Head jig mold in 12 oz or 16 oz and pour your own for about $3.00 apiece with the jig hooks.Bit of an investment to begin with but pay for themselves pretty quick if you do a lot of that style of jigging. That's all the commercial guys use with swimbaits.

Tyee Marine in Campbell River has ample quantities of 8, 12, 16, 24, and 32 oz. bullet jigs.
