Interested to know more about boat - 1987 K&C Thermoglass 17ft

Hey Folks,

I purchased a 1986 K&C Thermoglass 17ft. boat off Facebook market place. It has a 1987 Yamaha - 115HP (model # 115ETLH) 2 stroke outboard motor. If anyone knows about this boat wondering if you know the specs for:

- How many liters is the fuel tank? It measures 6" deep and not sure about any other measurements.
- What gas consumption does the motor get at 3500-4500RPM? WOT?

The owner didn't have the answers for you?
Well.. if the tank is empty go fill it up. That's the only way you will find out .

I'm going to guess anywhere from 20 litres an hour to 40 liters an hour plus 2 stroke oil.

Suggest checking the floor and transom for rot.

Floor has some minor rot in one area so likely a job in the next year or two to replace it. As for the transom; solid!!! The usual flaked wood from some water damage but nothing serious.

I guess I will carry some extra fuel on board when going on a cruise to ensure I do not run out of fuel. Have to replace the fuel sender unit as it has not been registering any ohm recently.

You can always use a couple of day tanks(portable)
until you figure out the capacity ?

I agree with "daddystoy" it will be somewhere between 20 and 40 liters per hour - consumption is very dependant on the rpm.
