Installing Airmar p66

Hey guy’s I am installing a p66 transducer in my seasport unfortunately I have now realized that the cable is too short. What do I do now? Can I buy an extension cable?

Yes you can probably get one from where you bought transducer or Harbour Chandler.

I'd contact Airmar. Any signal attenuation caused by an extra connector in the mix might be bad; especially if it get's corroded.

I use a extension cable on my P66 no issues what so ever,also use one for my DV 100 no problem there

Thanks guys, just ordered a 10ft extension. Feeling a bit ripped off as the extension was over 100 bucks. But what you going do.....

I had to do the same thing, it is a total con job the cables and there proprietary plugs. The cost is a gouge job, there is no way a 10ft cord should cost over $10per/ft.

the god dam transducer cord should be at least 25ft long from the get go

try lowrance Ethernet cables then....lol silly money just for the yellow plug you cant buy .....


you could just splice another 7 core cable into the mix but the time and effort to do it is really not worth it ....

i had to do my bare wire airmars 1K ss-175s so used to soldering now ....
