ice fishing up north

Hey everyone, I'm heading up around Ft. St. John or Dawson creek area for an elk hunting trip in about a week. We might take one or two afternoons and try to find a decent size pike. I have never fished for pike ice or not so I have no idea what to try? Anyone have any tips on lures or legal bait that might work. Thanks in advance for any tips!!

Standard cup of frozen minnows on a jig head (white or green) always worked for me. They could be used on tipups or jigged. Let the jig sink to the bottom then reel up half a turn and jig away.

Anchovies or herring work well, a double hook set up so the bait has a curl so you get some action while you jig. Spoons work. Gibbs, lucky strike, FST, Williams Wobbler...
