Herring Recipes

These seem to be scattered around in the various charity sale threads. Thought I'd consolidate them and hopefully get some more success stories. I currently have some gutted and in the brine in this video. I plan to try grilling and pickling some as a test. Anyone got any ideas?

I tried to smoke a batch last year. The cats wouldn’t even eat it. Be careful because a lot of the recipes you see only really work with bigger herring that we typically get here.
