Here goes nothing

Being a semi lurking on this forum for years, I thought I should finally contribute, after selling my boat this summer, I was either looking for something bigger or a challenge, I took the challenge! The wife convinced me to start small, so I had a 14’ cope skiff cut out and deliver to my house. So far so good, it’s taken some head scratching but is coming along nicely.

Man there've been some good threads this year. Nice work looking forward to following along. Welcome to Fishbook.

Totally agree!
Nice to see people being creative and productive.
Wonderful counter weight to the heavy politician and bureaucrat threads.

I was thinking of this option, if it's not too much, could you keep a rough tally of the hours. Just want to know itf this is a closer to retirement project.

That's pretty darn cool.
Love it when people aren't scared to take on a challenge. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Looks great!

Keep us keep posted. My brother in law asked me to build him the same cope boat.

Wow!
Not your first time working with metal I presume. You have a serious talent there. When’s your estimated completion?

Very nice. This is a blueprint project.?
Do you have a finished pic..?
Always good to envision a completed
Project to help with details.

Awesome looking project and progress so far. Approximately how many man hours is this project scheduled to take. This is a must watch thread I would say. Looking forward to more.

What equipment are you using, welder etc.

Yes I’ve built a thing or two before
Hoping to be done after Xmas

Looks great!

Where did you get the aluminum plates cut?
I had the parts water jet cut at Titan boats in Sidney, i think there the only ones with a large table on the island. I think a lot of builders have their boats router cut at CJM Technolglies in Delta.
