So I had plans to go up to Haida Gwaii at the end of August for this really fun fishing derby with a buddy.
Unfortunately he somehow managed to slice the major tendon in his thumb while opening a swiss army knife and no longer has any use of his right thumb.
The trip will be canceled unless we can convert an MR3 to left hand reel. We then need to make a contraption to attach to his belt which will allow him to hold the butt of his rod like the marlin guys have. That’s beside the point though. Anyone know if is possible to convert the reel? There is also the option of converting a Trophy XL Qr mooching reel as well.
