thanks for replies everyone, can anyone comment on which transducewr to get? so confusing... chirp, downscan, side scan, total scan??!?

If one were putting a transducer on a lone carbon or multi carbon, carbon or carbon live for eg.
I would say that the new active image tranducer would be first choice to get the best of chirp and down and sidescan.
Totalscan does all that also, but active is to be better and can be used on carbons with current software.
Footprints are the same with the active being a bit thicker.
