Has Lingcod/Rockcod opened?

Can't find any info on the DFO website as its still updating.

I imagine it depends on what exact area you are inquiring about.

Rock fish and Lingcod open May 1st generally in area 19. If there is no info consider it closed. You will find this info on the DFO website you just have to really look for it. the site is very unfriendly to use.

I think consider them closed until their seasonal updates go live as the closures were 'closed until further notice'. As above, most of the major population areas right now are showing as closed on the Fishing BC app. Even area 25 (Nootka), Hardy and others are showing still closed.

The website sucks - admittedly. You can however, search the Fisheries Notices directly and/or get yourself on an email mail-out for all the new ones at: http://notices.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fns-sap/index-eng.cfm

Thanks guys, I tried the app and the website to no avail, DFO is still updating so yes, I'll consider them closed and head out for Hali tomorrow, I was just hoping to hit a coupe of my spots on the there and back.
