Halibut charter

Hi I'm looking for a halibut charter June 16 or 17. Anywhere from Nanaimo to Campbell river any recommendations would be appreciated.

Few halibut in those waters. While you might find an outfit willing to let you try, don't expect to catch anything.

Have to agree.

That being said, a decent number get trolled up salmon fishing off the Hump on the south end of Quadra island and some even target them (though I'm not sure how successful they are).

If you are set on trying for hali, I'd call some of the Campbell River charters and inquire. Great salmon fishing that time of year recently.

You could try Sean Fredrikson, the Hali Hunter. He is in Comox area.

Probably better off salmon fishing if you’re staying in the east side

You could possibly catch the ferry to Victoria and go out of there or out of Sooke and then head up island.

If Sean is the same guide called Hali Hunter, who guided out of Rodgers a couple of years ago, he's very good at getting hali!
