Has anyone heard of the Fly Fishing Symposium at UVic on the 13th 14th of Nov. The Haig Brown Fly Fishing Club is organizing the event - presenters include, Jim McLennan, Les Johnson, Gordon Honey, Trey Combs, Peter Morrison, Brian Chan, Kathy Ruddick, Shawn Bennett and Ian Muirhead is doing casting analysis. They have cut rates at a local hotel, billeting is available, rv sites/parking is close to the univerisity, and instead of a banquet it's a no host beer and pizza night at the pub. Sessions include Creekmouth Fishing, Steelheading, open ocean, Guide expectations, custom rod building, Lake and river methods etc.. it's a great lineup for $75/12 sessions.
