Feedback on price for our Hewescraft

Hi
My hubby and I have made the decision to take the next step on our dream boat Kingfisher 2525) and in turn, must sell our 2018 Hewescraft 210 HT Searunner. It has extended warranty through to October 2024 and has 202 hours on the main Yamaha 200. Boat is in excellent condition, has been lovingly cared for and stored indoors. The market is very high right now; I see that in the few boats we have been able to even consider to buy. I’ve listed it for 109,000. ‘Too high’, ‘too ambitious’ or ‘about right’ all things considered? Thanks so much for all feedback!

Kicker?
Downriggers?
Location?

There's a 2019 that's been for sale in AB with less hours for a month at about the same price.

You gotta ask yourself what's your time worth and that it's near the end of the season right now for using a boat

Good idea but we are going to buy used.

If a dealer or broker approaches you on the hewes they can easily manage such a deal, FYI. They're super hungry for inventory.

Anyways I fished out of the same kingfisher for 3 days this July and really enjoyed it.

As someone in the market for a boat, I've been looking at a lot of options. I have seen your boat posted online and due to the price moved on from it due to some of the pricing I've received.

I'm looking at a few different boat options, however I recently got a quote for a brand new 2021 Hewescraft 210 SeaRunner ET HT with a Yamaha F200 for $92,000, sure that doesn't include all of the accessories that are on your boat, however it is also a 3 year newer boat with 0 hours on the motor and similar warranties. Looking at adding similar accessories that you have listed onto that boat.

Kicker 9.9 Yamaha installed - $5200
Downriggers Scotty 1106 - $1130 (2x565)
Radar Simrad Halo 20 - $2209
Sonar Simrad G07 - $844
VHF Icom IC-M330 - $200
VHF Antenna - $100
Inverter - I have no need/desire for one so I haven't priced one here
Onboard Charger Noco Genius 3 - $209

Total $101892 ($114119 with taxes)

Sounds like it should be priced in the low mid 90’s or high 80’s if you really want to move it quickly. I’d price it at 98,765 without the downriggers and some of the removable accessories to get below 100k.

Downrigger and Radar may be the easiest and most worthwhile to remove on a time /value perspective.

I bought a cheaper used set of electronics and said the boat wasn’t coming with mine since it had all the waypoints etc.

What really got my hewescraft sold was a video of it running. That is a pretty amazing machine compared to what is out there, so if you aren’t in hurry just put lots of details in your add.

here’s a comparable.

it depends. ive priced my kingfisher 18 footer for a hair under $80K and i get nibbles but no bites (altho i almost got one).
if you really want to sell it price it for $80-90K.
if you are willing to wait a few months or year and enjoy the boat in the meantime your price is ok. dont expect a quick sale tho.
i dont care since i use my boat and have no intention of buying another anytime soon unless it sells so my price is good for me. typically it took me 3 years to sell my last boat (at 40% above market), 8 years to sell my first boat (at 15% above what i bought it for 11 years ago). so it takes a while if you price it to a high level. but boats will sell, even if overpriced provided they are made turnkey. ive found the higher priced buyers just want to turn the key and go boating. thats what attracts them. have all the accessories all set up and they will buy it. it beats spending a year and a half getting the boat set up correctly.

I appreciate that feedback, genuinely! I know boat orders are 6 months out so our boat is certainly for the person who has to have it NOW. Inverter can get anything you want ‘plug in’ on board (for me that’s coffee!). The snap on canopy, 8 rocket launchers, bench seats folding to bed, rear helm station with screen, battery pack, shore power, and an extended warranty one year longer than a standard warranty on a 2021 sale, might be worth it for some. It is a hot market. In fact it did work out that way and we sold it today for 105,000. We took our first offer! I think buyer and seller did well! Cheers!

Good luck hope it goes smoothly

...and that it's near the end of the season right now for using a boat

Luckily the next season starts exactly 1 second after the previous season ends :D

Boating season never ends. I'm on mine all year :)

Sure some fish are closed, some aren't around, etc, but there is always exploring, and reasons to get out on the water 12 months a year :) And considering they are selling an HT, much easier to keep warm!
