Faulty Transducer

Just bought a new HDS 5 X Lowrance Sounder. Went to install and discovered black tar like substance oozing from rear of transducer, so how I figure this can't be right. Took it back to outfit that sold me the unit and will find out Monday if I can get it replaced. Boo Hoo. Cheers Fc

Might just be the sealant.

Yer right TenMile. Twas the sealant due to faulty epoxy job. Should have a new tranducer hopefully by friday. Cheers FC
