Elk River British Columbia Rising Cutthroat Trout August 2018

View media item 579We fished in August and found a nice braided area with small channels where we actually found the biggest fish.
View media item 580Ladin saw a big fish rise and made a great cast.
View media item 581The Purple Haze floated perfectly and the fish came up bigger than life.
View media item 582A beautiful Cutthroat. Over 20 inches.

We caught several large trout and many other nice fish. Mostly on the dry. The Elk is a fantastic River.

Video shows farm field and barn neer the river .Tamerack and larch on the banks .Must be kookanoosa fish.i'm guessin north of grassmere down the hill to the river.fish must be a eastslope or a cutbow.Strange I see no bull trout .so leads me to believe earlyer than october.
