Through in and through out, I have had so many fellow guides ask me why I do not use them...
Don't ask why I am bringing this up at such a ungodly hour, must have had something to do with counting fish over the falls instead of sheep over the fence last night..
Fish feed instinctively on natural bait, the gear just pisses them off in general.. Stands to simple reason that fishing a cutplug herring on a bead chain is as close to the wounded bait(depending on your roll) as it get's.
Sure a dummy flasher may catch the eye, but at the same time why is it the avg. weight is classed so much lower than a lonesome cutty..
It is only my two cents worth, but does it not come to mind that if your confidance is that shakey, you should do some homework.
Really do you think that the colour of your dummy actually has anything to do with a spring taking your bait...
