Deadliest Catch

Yep ive watched every episode in the series. Pretty wild stuff. Ive been trying to work as many of the different types of commercial fisheries as i can at least once. I have a feeling that alaskan crab fishing will be close to the bottom of the "to do" list.

I have that "dead or alive" song on a cd for when it gets rough out on the boat.<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Great show, caught the first episode back in January, did a bunch of double takes. "Sea Star" owned by Larry Hendricks, and one of his deckhands - the old looking, white bearded guy that they don't identify (Kenny Hendricks)- are second/third cousins living in Seattle. Almost depressing how time flies and you fall out of touch with people.
Show has rekindled family curiosity and will make a trip down there this summer to look them up. Spoke to one of their aunts a few weeks ago, and all surviving to fish another day.
A pretty good depiction of how they fish up there. All through my childhood I would hear the stories about the seas that they endured, having to chip ice off the boat, the hard work, and the riches to be had.
Also remember them coming up to visit my grandparents, bringing along frozen bricks (about the size of the old quart box of ice cream) of king crab. Delicious! Still love it.
