This is actually a high end black convertible top for one of my vehicles. I have noticed it has a grove being warn in the outer layer of the top that is about 3 inches long in a straight line and a sixteenth to an 8th wide but not that deep yet, but still deep enough. It is an older top but is in good shape overall and I suspect this is a wear point from the auto up and down process.
I would like to fill in the grove with something black, robust and flexible and let that take the wear before it wears through to one of the other layers. Anyone have experience with this? I could use some advice on what would be the best product to use?
