Coho in the strait

I haven't been out much this summer but can't help to notice the lack of Coho on the bite.
I mostly fish green can, sentry shoal, grants area. The 2 that I did catch were off of hornby.

Anyone else noticing the lack of Coho in your area?

Same in the Vancouver Local, from the pacific angler blog, last year was a great year for Coho this year seems to be a bust.

I agree I read that post that's prompted my question.

Let's hope they are late this year.

Esperanza has overall been poor for Coho this year . The season started well, there were coho showing early in June, and there were decent catches of them while targetting springs through July. August they dissapeared, and there were almost none offshore all season, unlike last year when they were a nuisance out there in August and September. There have been few in the inlet thus far in september either, and even fewer big northerns.
