cal 20 sail boat

looking for some info on the value of a 40 yr. old cal 20. it needs new sails and rigging,paint on upper deck and hull, interior is so so. this belongs to our club and want to sell it,any sailors out there that could give me a rough idea of a fair price,also has an older 8hp johnson kicker, does run,no trailer, any help would be apperciated. thanks

There are a fleet of those at the RVYC so you might want to ask there. It sounds like from your description that it might be a give-away. In good condition they seem to go for $2000 and from your description it needs at least that in work.

You may want to walk away from that one JDR. Even if it is free it sounds to me you will have to sink in at least 2500. and a month of Sundays of your time. Unfortunately I am speaking from experience.

Thanks all for your input, I'm not buying just wanted an idea of a price so we could sell. Hopefully to put a bit of cash into our coffers of the Sooke Long Boats. JDR
