Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

This 1987 Commander was totally rebuilt in 2019 by Bracewell Marine into modern standards. They seem to have added some sort of hull extension too. Sits up higher in the back at rest and on plane.
I have always wondered about the viability of having a factory setup that did this type of conversion. You can pick up some of the gas 30 Commanders for under $50K. However will people pay the price for the result.

So, is it proper edicate to re-designate a new year to a vessel after reconstruction? They are advertising this commander as a 2019, and assigned year built as 2019-87... interesting.

ya interesting. Wonder if the original serial number is still on there. It looks like really only the fiberglass hull and deck were used. The interior layout has been changed and is all new. Even the fuel tanks forward of the engine look different.
I guess you can call your Hourston a 2020-xx hull too!

FYI I think this boat will be at the Vancouver boat show.
