Acting on the suggestion of Fogged In and Tips Up to start a new thread about supporting Big Wave Dave through donation, here we go.
I just put in $20 because that's the first time I've donated. How much is it worth to me? I check BWD exclusively every time I fish, about 40 times a year. I have a small 15.5 Hourston so I really need to watch wind and exposure in Sooke/Beecher Bay Area. BWD is worth at least a couple packs of bait, easily.
That sounds ridiculous when I think about it. Its worth way more, one of those priceless things, but at less as much as a vhf radio. If I pay $350 for that and have it for 15 years, then my $20 kinda makes sense to me.
I look forward to hearing how others pick a donation level.
