Barbecued salmon heads

Take your salmon head,

Cut it in half lengthwise

Then season as you wish, I put BBQ sauce on after like 10 minutes cooking
Cook till done, watch the flameups with these oily things
Remove and enjoy with a beer, just pick out the meat and chuck the rest. Might be messy

Well 50 something views and no reply, no one like salmon heads or what? What about just the collars not the head.?
 
There's lots of good meat on a Salmon head but it's a job to get at it and I think that's why a lot of people don't bother.

Splitting the head down the middle after cooking sure makes everything easier-fine chopsticks are easier to use than a fork-Thanks for the photos!
 
I think theres something about a baked eye staring at me that would turn me off. Not really enough meat to be worth all the fuss. I guess if the seal got the rest and thats all you had... wait a minute is it April fools...nope...hmm...intersting! What ever floats your boat!

Holmes you were gonna eat a whole herring, I'd rather eat a salmon head man, might be a long winter
 
pretty sure no one will hold you to the herring thing, that was good for a laugh though, happy to crack a harp with you sometime anyway.
