The Area G Troll had an opening for springs last week 29 & 30 April, 1 & 2 May). They were restricted to 7 - 12 mile, the Finger Bank and a bit of the Sawtooth. Inside catches (Southbank, 7 - 12 mile) were dismal, and most of the boats soon wandered off to other areas. The Big Bank was closed, but from what we saw outside of that on the Finger (loads, and more than a few large!) I suspect that area would likely prove hot. More than a few hali's around as well.
Heard a couple of rumours over towards the Ucy side - seems some decent fish (up to 25 lbs) have mistakenly moved in tight - Great Bear and area. Likely going to check that one in the next little while.
