Any more details on what time they are holding the meeting, and directions to the clubhouse? Is there going to be any info on the herring openings?

Click on the "Why not go out to the lake" link on the first page of the Courtenay F&G website http://www3.telus.net/courtenayfishandgame/

Meeting will start at 7PM.
As far as the agenda, the chairman plans on having the hatchery managers going over thier next years plans, and how they did last year.
A discussion on closing the Puntledge to all angling during the high temperature summer months could get noisy--- but it is necessary to protect the threatened summer run chinooks, steelhead and cutties from high temperature stress. This past year people were fishing while the water was at 25C.. lethal for a fish if stressed.

I havent seen the whole agenda, but there will be an opportunity to bring up herring during the discussion period.

Thanks, is there going to be anyone there who will be able to talk about the herring fishery which is killing the gulf? Good idea on the closure.

Not sure who from DFO will attend from the fish management side--I will poke the chair to see if thats in the works.
