    This is just hilarious.

CANDU was a massive money loser and was costing Canadians a fortune. At the time they were sold they'd been getting BILLIONS in taxpayer dollars and were posting losses often in the hundreds of millions. Worth billions? They were worth about what the market was offering.

And the deal included tens of millions in royalties to be given back to the government... assuming they actually make money at some point. Not a lot of buyers for CANDU reactors, and there haven't been for decades. In fact, all the decades, because there have never really been a lot of buyers and CANDU wasn't well financed enough to do enough development to stay competitive with later designs. Despite the fact that we have them something like twenty billion dollars over the years.

Man, what revisionist hype. Turn off the North99. It's going to give people brain damage.

I am what white people call me as Gods child. Hmmm...the CREATORS son. :)

If you believe, then share what it is that life has offered positively for you. I know 100% what faith has given me. Let's be clear, that I am talking about is the CREATOR. My Father. :)

IT's really good news for the liberals

Not surprised canada is definitely not ready to have a sikh at the helm. When my friend that's part of the NDP caucus voted him in I told him what a mistake it was. Apparently he gave some really good speeches that weekend that sway a lot of the young voters in the caucasus. Who are pretty left wingers within the NDP. I personally would vote green before NDP.

Yeah, that failure to select a viable leader is pretty much the only thing keeping Trudeau afloat at this point.

But the second I saw the guy I knew the NDP would go with him. They love the diversity hires, qualifications or no. Perfect opportunity for them to prove their wokeness, and they held their conversation before any of the shine came off Trudeau so you have to figure they thought "just like Justin but a visible minority? We can't lose!"

But Justin has been protected by Laurentian power brokers his whole life and Canadian state media love the family. All Singh has is Brampton and Surrey. It's a motivated voting block and a lot of money...but not compared to heavy hitters like Desmarais et Al. They're screwed.

I agree dradons - he is pandering to what he hopes is his base - like Trump. But.. attacking the content instead of shooting the messenger would put him into an uncomfortable, indefensible & untenable spot sounding like just another flat-earther.
