Good post Osama! (off work today so doing an unusual mid-day foray here.)
Lake Cowichan is run by it's own private little mafia called the CVRD.
My dream is to own waterfront on that lake one day so for the last few years I've looked into the rules etc.
The CVRD says your average Joe who buys a piece of waterfront up there and wants to clear a little area for a fire-pit or beach area can't even touch one plant or tree or leaf within something like 50-ft of the water.
Yet, in the blink of an eye they license some developer to rape the hillside & waterfront to blast in a small city (Marble Bay area).
Evidently our Provincial Liberals are not alone in accepting bribes.
