I knew it was just a matter of a little time before global bc reported on a rescue seal or sea lion. Tonight was the night.

Now you did it....started a thread on how we should rescue every furry fluffy. Here we go.

To late ubc, the aquarium and global B.C. have already rescued and rehabilitated any possible candidate at no expense spared

Lol saw that last night, they even opened the broadcast with it like it was the biggest achievement of the year.

It was rescued in Powell river and released in crescent beach, why there, great another sea lion at the mouth of the Fraser in no time that’s all we need there. And they weren’t practicing social distancing will unloading the cage, but hey, it’s all about conservation so social distancing doesn’t apply in this case then

Sure a lot of focus on this site against seals and sea lions too bad there wasn't more focus on the destroyed watersheds and human caused problems that are the real reason for diminished salmon stocks. Global bc is hardly a pro environment media outlet and their fuzzy stories are just a distraction for urban conservatives from showing the real way wildlife and the environment are treated in bc which is less than warm or fuzzy.

And there it is...the predictable debate which has already been kicked around many times in the Conservation forum. As dmurph pointed out, he posted it as a joke and we are not turning it into the great debate of 2020 here.
