Had a 10 lb fish and one a hit under at thrasher , 5 - 6 boats saw no other action, 6 inch spoon naked in 220 took both. Headed to harbour on the way home

Quite off west Bowen. Marking lots of bait and arcs though. Tunstall is quite too.

Ended up without a single hookup. Thankfully that hasn’t happened for quite some time. Did really well on prawns despite many commercial traps now around.

Met one party who boxed 1 west of Bowen. That was it.

I’m 100% certain I read commy digits on 2 large buoys (1 string) west of passage and south of Bowen. Really close to the new glass sponge closures.

Perhaps they are crabbing in 300’ of water?

Test fishery?

lots of shakers and undersize yesterday at the hump. Started at 100’ deeper I went larger they got. Finally hit a keeper at 190’. Quieter today with only 3 undersize and a pollock. Pod of orcas went by around 11. Still early I guess.
