- The Sidney Anglers’ Association (SAA) will be holding their 9 th annual one-day Salmon Derby and dinner on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
- Check-in and distribution of derby packages will take place on the afternoon of Friday, May 3rd followed by dinner at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney. Derby day is Saturday with the Derby weigh-in station at the North Saanich Marina. Moorage is available with special moorage rates for Derby participants.
- Don’t miss out - only 250 derby entries are available. First come, first serve. Your $150 entry fee includes dinner tickets to both Friday and Saturday night.
- First place prize of $10,000 and total cash and merchandise prizes of $30,000. Special categories and prizes for Kids.
- Last year’s Derby raised just under $37,000 and we have raised over $177,000 since the derby’s inception in 2011 - All proceeds will be committed to salmon enhancement and restoration projects on Southern Vancouver Island.
