Nope 2x per day any size

yep...it does say area 20-1 except inside the Bay, one Chinook.
As you know area 20-1 runs from East Point to Bonilla.
Definitely not what I was told by the staff in the office.
what a bunch of crap!!!
If the reg is the same off Renfrew as Victoria why would a guy in Victoria drive all the way up to Renfrew???
I guess it will all be clearer over the holiday weekend.

The inclusion of areas 20-1 and 20-2 in the JdF regs is a mistake. It is actually part of the WCVI regs and is at 2 per day over 45 cm. This has been confirmed by DFO. A revised fisheries notice will be sent out tomorrow.

Well, we almost made it to Aug 1 without a melt down from all the pent up energy! Was going to clean up parts of this thread but I am too busy trying to get ready to go fishing at the moment! May I suggest you all do the same and enjoy it while you can.
Good luck out there and we look forward to reading your reports!

Beauty day fishing. Saw some great people get into some nice springs, so good to be a part of it all. Big humpback cruising around and the porpoises were also very active. I got into springs early, went 2 for4, one at 19 and the last fish was 25. Then pushed outside and quickly had a couple fat pinks to round out a superb day on the water. Be proud of OUR traditional fishery.

6DE97A85-313D-4663-A3C9-C895926FE7EC.jpeg I took my wife and son....my sons friend and his dad to East Point for the night bite in the crazy down pour last night. Both boys landed fish just under 20lbs in less than hour. Flat water but VERY wet out. Lol. There sure seems to be a lot of fish around this year....like 5 times as many as the last few years. Although maybe it’s just the new boat and my skill that’s putting more fish on the barbecue?

Lol, i love east point but cant handle it when theres more then 3 boats going in circle, i just cant relax when there 20 plus boats all jogging for the same tack, now what you did is smart, go out at last light in the pissing rain with nobody around and hook up some good fish thats priceless

It’s the boat.

Maybe because of the less pressure on those fish on their migration?
