This derby is coming up so I thought I would post a reminder here.
2018 KMC Derby – Saturday July 7th – Sunrise to 5:00 p.m
This Derby is a fun celebration of salmon fishing in our local waters
We invite you to come out and join us, bring a family member or friend and enjoy some quality time on the water plus help raise funds for SVIAC and our great cause … the Sooke Chinook Enhancancement Initiative. It is primarily set up as a social event for SVIAC members, but the public are very welcome to enter as well.
The 2018 KMC Salmon Fishing Derby is a one day fishing event that runs rain or shine and under the DFO regulations in place at that time.

The event will again be headquarterd at Pedder Bay RV Resort and Marina, where anglers can weigh in salmon at the official weigh scale and gather after the event during the prize awards.
Full Derby rules and regulations plus fishing boundaries available here
At the closing of the weigh scale at 5:00pm on Saturday July 7th, the main prizes will be awarded and various raffles and draws will take place too. Each derby ticket package includes a food and beverage voucher (value $15.00) towards a burger and beer served at the prize award event held at the weigh scale location at the close of fishing 5:00 p.m.
