Thanks for the reply and the info. It's all about the experience but a fish or two certainly helps. Will give Lazo a go. Cheers

Fished Pt Holmes near the can today. Tried hootchie, spoons and anchovies but nothing doing. Very little bait around today. The water was flat calm though. Only 2-3 boats out there.

Fished Lazo yesterday. Managed one nice feeder spring on the flats. 48 feet down in 60 feet of water.
Using a white glow hootchie with lime green spots. Interesting to note that there was nothing in the stomach.

Got out to the hump today. not much happening for the afternoon. Checked out why there was a mass of sea gulls on the water and found they were sitting on top a huge bait ball from the surface down to 200 feet. I managed one small spring out of it but had to leave because of sunset. Great day on the water.

Anybody know what the commercial guys are fishing for off of Denman Island. Quite a few boats out there this morning.

Hello all, Happy Holidays. Tight lines in the new year. Anybody been out to the Hump lately. Those winter springs sound pretty good. ;) eman
