2017 Alberni Inlet

Had a slow night last night through the narrows and coos...not many reports on here, mostly whining and IMO's, out here now again @ coos and have had mostly smalls....running 40'-60' with the regular gear

We had a great day yesterday morning by the narrows. Limited out with 4 of us in 4 hours. Fished the normal bubblegum on 1 side and bubblegum/black on the other. Fish were between 40-70 feet. Interesting enough we had 5 jacks which is the most I have had in a day over there. It was spotty for many and we didn't see bionic net action. Wind made it challenging at times.

was very good for us friday and saturday .......get out at sunrise, fish the port side wall near the narrows (facing Bamfield), 25-51' , very slow, black hooks and short 18" leaders and you'll get 2 or 3 person limits by 10 am, after that its just wasted fuel and washing gear ! Good Luck !

What leader length were you running?
Thanks

bag fleet were out on sunday, not sure how long there out for ,but that will hurt the numbers.watch them do one set and not much to show for maybe 20-25 fish and a **** loads of jacks

Quick fish this morning and went 4/6. Nice size fish but we couldn't stay for the tide change bite. Sounded a little slow on radio with locals. Wind came early

Depends where you were yesterday. We limited with the last 6 being caught in less than 20 minutes. Didn't have time to get the gear down on both sides at the same time. Some pretty good fish showing yesterday.

Snuck out with some of the PNT staff on Tuesday morning.. a bit of a later bite but there still there.... Oki plaid flashers black hooks were the ticket for the day.... :)

Come on Deryk. A big time tackle magnate like you should be able to afford to put a hootchie on at least some of your lines.

Where were you guys fishing? We were fishing Hook Bay and Nahmint area and we only managed to scratch up 2.

Went 2/7 today. Soft takes and they were swimming with the flasher. Didn't see much action but it was still a nice morning. Had a great omelette on the boat.....bonus

We went 8 for 15 this morning near Dunsmuir. Sieners started at 10 guess it going to slow down now. Great morning on the water. 60-75 feet on the wire

Well Done! Much slower at Underwood. Saw the first Seiner start at 9:15! Just read that the opening was at 10. Seine boat and companion boat were already closing up first net.
