2.5HP Outboard Motor WANTED

Hello all.

I'm a newbie to this site so go easy on me.

I am currently designing a 8' rigid hull, and I need a 2.5/2.6hp outboard motor to do validation testing. So is anyone willing to rent their motor for a week or so.
Based in lower mainland. Willing to travel to collect.

I think that you'll have better luck buying a used outboard. If you don't need it you can sell it on to the next person.

Weird that it has been posted for 30 days. "25 hours regularly serviced". How much service are you doing over the course of 25 hours.

Probably just a small market of people that want a 2.5hp motor, I've seen older running 9.9 in the 300-500 buck range

I paid $700 brand new for my merc 2.5. I was in a rush and just grabbed it off the shelf. I think retail they're $950
