My friend (really it's not me) bought a boat with a Force 90. It ran great last year, and had previously been a freshwater only motor. It looks brand new. Absolutely no corrosion and functioned great last year. He took it in for servicing and learned that the lower seals were shot and there was lots of water in the lower unit. The 95 was last Force year before Mercury lower units became interchangeable with Force. I believe the spline count on the shafts are different or something.

Anyway, my friend was wondering if anyone might be interested in this motor. The shop is quoting about $600 to replace the seals, but these engines are known for lower unit problems, so my friend has bought another motor.

I'll take a flat of beer for broker fee and all low-ballers and backyard mechanics are encouraged to PM me with in the next week to arrange a deal. I am betting that $200 bucks and my beer would do it. My buddy wants it gone quick. It is currently located in Langford.
