The 20’6’ Double Eagle has seen better days. I am going to give it a new lease on life. I have big plans for her .

Here are a few more pictures. I will also take some of the inside as I remove stuff. The way Double Eagle fibreglassed everything to the hull is impressive. Quality all the way. I am impressed

Great project. Where did you find the boat and cost of it if you don't mind posting?

Amazing what a good pressure wash will do isn’t it. Looks like the gel coat is in pretty decent shape still.

Is a pod job in the plans, sure would be sweet.

it looks good! how far is the rebuild going? or do you know how far? stringers ? floor? snyderized?

I am going to put a pod on it with a 250, the transom looks good and solid but I will have it tested to make sure. Will tear it apart if I have too. I have pulled some of the floor up and there was some rot in the plywood but the front center stringer is solid. I have to gut the interior to access the rest. Its a work in progress and i am thinking its going to take a year or so.

250 is the perfect motor for that boat

A little over a week ago I emailed 4 different companies, Prodigy Marine, Cutting Edge, Lifetimer and Canadian Maritime Engineering So far the only place to give me a price is CME. And thats because we went in person and asked them. I guess business is too good right now to worry about a little job like a pod. If anyone has any other recommendations I would appreciate it.

Iv chatted a bit with north island fiberglass about rebuilding a hourston when i find one, and they offered pods. And they also responded fast.

We have the same boat. We had ours podded in Sooke. I'm not sure if he is still building them but he did an amazing job on ours. I'll try and dig up his # and pm it to you.

That must be really daunting ripping a boat apart only to see everything you have to put back together. Not for the faint at heart, that's for sure. It will be a great boat when all said and done. What's the standup height of that hardtop on that model?

Good luck!
