Just a reminder for all those willing to skipper, we are hosting at the Prestige in Sooke once again and can always use skippers willing to offer up their boats in exchange for covering expenses and a free ticket (prefer 17' or larger boats incase winds blow up). Feel free to PM me if you are willing or have volunteered in the past and haven't yet been contacted. This is a great charity event donating everything back to salmon enhancement and stream rehabilitation projects, now having donated $116,000, most of which was in the last 8 years.
We are also always on the lookout for donations, no matter how big or small as we give a prize out to all participants. We have a range of sponsorship levels (minimum gold gets your 4 free tickets to the event), and we have also added the option of 2 free tickets with a silver sponsor ($500). You get recognition at the event, on the website, and in the Times Colonist.
Have a look through our brochure if you are unfamiliar with the event and most everything you would need to know is also on the website itself.
(note also we are bumped 2 weeks forward than our normal slot so not to conflict with the Sooke Salmon Enhancement Derby - long weekend timing bumped them into July).
