Brechin launch was fun at noon yesterday :) Ran to Entrance, got a few undersized on spoons, and big thanks for the white hootchie idea from the guy in the black aluminum....changed up and fished shallow near the lighthouse, picked up a 14 lb/76cm) on the first tack.

    2019 Winter Harbour Reports

Would love some advice - Heading up to Coal Harbour Friday for the first time, we will be in a small RV towing a 17 ft whaler Is there a place to tie up at night at the Coal Harbour launch? Or do you have to pull your boat out every night? Also, any place to park and camp nearby? Lastly...

    2019 Nanaimo Reports

My wife got a nice chinook(15-16 lb) on a Lil Nib between Hudson and the Fingers, Friday afternoon just before the tide change. Lots of shakers and one Pink out in front after that. Went out again on Saturday morning, lost a good one at the back of the boat, quite a few shakers as well.

    Chums in Brown’s Bay

We fished BB Saturday am as well, last hour of the ebb (10:30 - 11:30) there was a short bite at plumper, saw 5 or 6 netted. Moved over to Deepwater for the flood, only saw a couple nets out, gave up on Chum and dropped the Coho gear. Between 2 pm - 3 pm we hit a bunch, lucked out with 3 nice...

    2018 Nanaimo Reports

IMO 6 ft is pretty standard for both bait and spoons. Some guys run 7 - 8 ft leaders on their bait rigs. BTW, great weekend out there, saw lots of nets and lots of Coho on Sunday, wife got a nice 8 lb hatchery and released a few feisty wilds. Monday was apparently Chinook day, she got a 16 lb...
