    P2C spoon

Thanks, I have what I need for now. What I should have added in my last post was that we were looking specifically for the brass and nickel pattern which were scarce, but we did find a few which were still usable after polishing them up...lots of copper & nickel ones in all sizes.

    P2C spoon

Hang onto them...they're hard to find. A couple of years ago my fishing partner & I stopped at every used tackle store from Hardy to Nanaimo looking for them with minimal success.

    Shore fishing Comox area

Yes. Thx for the reminder. I haven't been there for a couple of years. Buzz bombed a nice 15#ish coho. Released as it was unclipped.

    Shore fishing Comox area

I've forgotten the name of the resort that used to be just south of the little river ferry terminal (all housese now) but you can still access the beach and Point at the end of Waveland Rd. Locals fish there a lot. Can cast for coho during the summer season with the odd chinook thrown in.

If the pinks are in, there is a great beach fly fishery for them from Black Creek to at Saratoga Beach at the mouth of the Oyster.

Fresh salt water. It helps with those scrappy smaller ones if you hold them upside down in the water. Seems to calm them down a bit.

2023 Secret Cove, Pender Harbour and Texada Reports

Try placing the fish head first into a 5 gal bucket with fresh water while you do the sampling. If you have a measuring stick with a ruler on it, rather than the flexible/retractable tape you can measure it in the bucket as well. It gets to continue breathing rather than "holding it's breath"...
