Politics Before Science: New Chinook Regulations Announced

I thought that was self-explanatory, Derby. In terms of Chinook closures in time and space to supposedly protect SRKWs - It should be a small time/place closure if they were trying to protect the SRKWs - wouldn't you say Derby?

I know the closures are also there to protect certain Chinook stocks of concern, as well. I could have found the SRKW thread and posted it there, as well..

Maybe because the Chinook regs as they pertain to southern Vancouver Island are according to DFO are to save J pod. That's laughable.
AND politics win over science on a regular basis. You don't need to look far down south to see that!
Another example of politics over science would be the need for a cull for seals and sealions and what are the chances of that happening.
