Fuel in Esperanza and Kyuquot?

Hey all,

Heading out to Esperanza and Kyuquot area - will be playing it by beer on where we focus on. Will fuel up at Critter on the way out. Curious if anyone knows if Newton Cove will still be supplying fuel (even though not open) or if there is a public fuel dock in Kyuquot?

Thanks for advice and knowledge. Cheers

Fairview is a ways for you from Critter. Are you staying over night up north or where along the way are you staying? Keep a close eye on the weather reports cause it can blow up quick out there. If traveling up north from Esparanza there's a lot of little islets you can tuck in behind if it blows up on you. Even some good fishing in some of those back water channels too. If you are going to fuel up at Esparanza give them a call on channel 6 VHF at least a half hour before you get there just in case they are on their property doing other work. The guy will come down to the dock on his dirt bike to serve you. They have ice, some tackle, etc too. And you get a free ice cream with fuel fill up! lol

@Chasin' Dreams Thanks for the info. We'll just be throwing the pick down to stay for the night in various locations. No real plan at this point. Fished Esperanza a few times now, but always when Newton was there and operating. Have only gone as far north as Rugged Point, but want to get a little further north, check out the fabled Spring Island. Or not if the weather is crap...

Great info about the ice cream!! Will make that the fuel stop for sure.
