Marine growth on a transducer - Solutions?

Well I think just to be safe, I'm going to cover it in trash cream then paint it up .

at the marina we used bleach just before the power washer, then put waterproof grease on the top side only so the growth had nothing to stick to, just a light coat

I used bleach for years...have it in a garden sprayer and soak the entire hull after a month in the water. Dissolves the growth then simply rinse. I do it at a wand car wash in Sooke.
