I think he’s trying to say originally they were saying millions of deaths (my cousin still thinks this is gonna happen) in the US etc now they change their numbers drastically only a few days or week later. Valid point. Only few days ago said 200,000 deaths in UK. Three days later they changed it to 20,000. News reports the first number but not the second etc.

Exactly

President Trump has blood on his hands today and more to come. Umerica you are ******! Your leader is a moron.......
I was initially responding to this type of BS.

Most modeling studies have been gestimating simply because China hasn’t been forthcoming about this virus. Basically under reporting the numbers. If you watch the number of new cases not the total of cases, simply because it doesn’t take into account the number of those who have survived and are now free of the virus. We will peak sooner than most models and I would expect us to see light by early May. I look forward to the antibody test becoming available, this will show how many of us already had it and give us herd immunity. This group can easily go back to work and give us hope. I wish this bat soup crap on no one, I feel empathy for anyone in its path, But I also know that with social distancing and vigilance we can beat this virus

I'm pretty sure my wife and I both had it in late Feb early March. Wasn't even on anyone's radar here then. I was knocked on my butt for three days followed by two weeks of coughing that wouldn't quit.

We both get our shots regularly.

Now put me back in coach!

agree

Wife and family spent Christmas in Hawaii and upon return something spread thru our Family and it was horrible, high temp, headache, terrible congestion, felt like death. One of my granddaughters got so bad went to er one night and they tested said it wasn’t the flu, but must be some virus. Wife and I both had flu shots in The fall

Most dire predictions of millions dying is being generous with numbers and over hyping hysteria. Why is it that the early prediction of 2.2 million deaths in US has been restated down to maybe 20,000. Remember over 60,000 died from h1n1 and remind me when and how long the economy was shut down to fight it. You can blame orange man bad for literally everything that bothers you. But it won’t change the fact that this crisis is overblown. The New York subway system is far worse for transmission of viruses than any cruise ship. This to shall pass and I dream of seeing another sunrise on the water. Go ahead and tear me apart, but your pointing fingers at Orangeman only exposes your hypocrisy

No need to tear you apart as you are entitled to your opinion but that's all it is,,,an opinion. To say that it's a "fact that the crisis is overblown" is nowhere near a factual statement. The "fact" is, you will never know how bad the crisis would have been if the measures that have been implemented were not put in place. And that is not an opinion,, as there is no way of knowing just how bad it "could" have gotten. It may also get a lot worse before if gets better but only time will tell.

Stay safe and do the right things to keep your loved ones and those around you safe as well.

We did as well, 3 weeks on the Big Island. No problems for us 4 but my father in law had something nasty right after we arrived home and we all stayed together. Wtf knows at this point.

By the way they're not even testing people who present in hospital. Friends had to go into Children's on Friday night on drs orders for their little guy who is 8 months old. Severe sinus and ear infection. It's in his chest too. Cranked up the antibiotics and said gtfo of here for 48 hours to see if theres any improvement. They were already self isolating as having travelled recently. Scary times for the little guy for sure.

sorry to hear about the little guy. We spent a week on Kona and then 2 on Kauai We got out fishing one day and caught 3 mahi-mahi love that place. Buddies and I usually head to ukee in a couple months and sadly that’s probably gone this year. I worry for all the small businesses on the west coast that might not survive this.

Sunny Sunday afternoon here in Sidney and it's obvious no one is taking social distancing seriously AT ALL. Groups of people all over, socialising, going for walks in large groups etc etc etc. The worst offenders I'm seeing are all blue hairs.

It's time to either:
a. Lock people in their homes
b. Get the economy moving again.

These measures are completely innefectual if nothing is enforced and no one takes it seriously!
